Who’s Got the Biggest?

Re: "Maine Maritime Museum’s popular Symposium, to be held Saturday April 10th...This year’s title is “Big Ship Smack-Down: Who’s Got the Biggest?” I just thought to mention in my search of Setauket, NY and adjoining harbor Port Jefferson, (25,000 and 75,000 tons reportedly built, the first known after Oliver Cromwell and the Restoration of Charles II) that the largest ship built at the time was being built there, but its funding ran out and trimmed down, it became a coal barge, after the 1840s as far as I know.
