I was in New Orleans only once for three days to see a friend off to the Yucatan, in the middle of an impending hurricane (1979) in the wettest year in Mississippi 1979 then. It's nice to see some of the places, and now maybe gone. I was working on the archaeology needed around the Tennessee-Tombigbee Barge Canal, an "alternative" to the "Big Muddy" the Congress chose over an "Energy Island" for NYC. Check out the Who's rock opera "Tommy" in Canberra at the bottom, Australia's federal capital. I had no idea!
