"Bradenton, Florida - The search is on to find a lost piece of Florida history. Thanks to a grant, archaeologists, anthropologists and a team of people are looking for Angola. Angola was a thriving community made up of blacks and escaped slaves during the early 1800’s. The people of Angola settled along the Manatee River in Bradenton in 1812."
