Small Invasion Found On Tappan Zee Bridge
(CBS/AP) TARRYTOWN, N.Y. If they ever build a new Tappan Zee Bridge, they might want to make it wormproof.
The state Thruway Authority said Friday that evidence of two tiny shipworms -- underwater mollusks that chew up wood -- was found in tests conducted near the bridge that spans the Hudson River between Westchester and Rockland counties.
